GoPro founder invests $2 million in company stock

GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) announced that founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman invested $2 million in the company through the purchase of Class A common stock via a trust affiliated with him.

The investment was made directly from the company, according to a press release statement. Woodman said the investment reflects his confidence in GoPro's product diversification strategy and development pipeline planned for 2026 and beyond.

"This investment reflects my excitement for GoPro's diversified product pipeline in 2026 and beyond," Woodman stated. "Our pace of innovation and product development is increasing, and I believe we're pursuing a number of meaningful TAM-expanding opportunities in both hardware and software that will excite our customers and investors alike."

The company filed additional details regarding the investment in a Current Report on Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

GoPro develops action cameras and related software for capturing and sharing video content.
