Braveheart Bio files for Nasdaq IPO under ticker BRVE

Braveheart Bio, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, has filed for a proposed initial public offering on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol NASDAQ: BRVE.

The company describes its focus as developing therapies for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and other cardiovascular diseases. Its lead product candidate, BHB-1893, is an oral small-molecule cardiac myosin inhibitor being developed for both obstructive and non-obstructive HCM.

BHB-1893 was originally discovered and developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. in China. Braveheart Bio in-licensed the compound through an exclusive license agreement with Hengrui. The company disclosed that all clinical trials of BHB-1893 completed to date were designed, sponsored, and conducted by Hengrui, primarily in China, with one Phase 1 trial conducted in Australia. Braveheart Bio stated it was not involved in the design, conduct, or oversight of those trials.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Jefferies, TD Cowen, Stifel, and Cantor are serving as underwriters for the offering. No pricing terms were disclosed in the filing.
