Enbridge names Michele Harradence as CEO, replacing Greg Ebel

Enbridge Inc. (TSX: ENB, NYSE: ENB) announced that Greg Ebel will retire as President and Chief Executive Officer on December 31, 2026, and that Michele Harradence has been appointed to succeed him in the role effective January 1, 2027. Harradence will also join the company's Board of Directors on that date.

Ebel will remain on the Board through his retirement date and serve as an advisor to the Board and Harradence from January through May 2027.

Harradence currently serves as Enbridge's Executive Vice-President and President, Gas Distribution and Storage, a role she has held since 2022. In that capacity, she oversaw the integration of U.S. utility businesses acquired from Dominion Energy, helping build a gas utility platform that serves 7.2 million customers across Canada and the United States. Before joining Enbridge in 2014, she held senior leadership roles at Shell Canada.

Her appointment follows a multi-year succession planning process led by the Board. Prior to her utility role, she served as Senior Vice-President and Chief Operations Officer in Enbridge's Gas Transmission and Midstream business in Houston.

Ebel joined Enbridge in 2017 following the merger of Spectra Energy and Enbridge, initially serving as Board Chair before becoming President and CEO in January 2023. During his tenure, Enbridge secured a $41 billion growth project backlog and expanded its natural gas platform through the acquisition of three U.S. natural gas utilities from Dominion Energy.

Enbridge is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, and operates natural gas, oil, and renewable power networks across North America, as well as an offshore wind portfolio in Europe.
