Angi (NASDAQ: ANGI), a digital home services marketplace, has appointed Michael Steib as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, succeeding Jeff Kip, according to a company statement.
Steib will retain his seat on Angi's board while leading the executive team and overseeing strategy and daily operations. Joey Levin, who previously served as Executive Chairman of the Board, will transition to the role of Chairman.
Steib most recently served as president and CEO of Tegna (NYSE: TGNA), which was acquired by Nexstar Media Group in March 2026. Before Tegna, he was CEO of Artsy, an online art marketplace. He also served as CEO of XO Group Inc., parent company of The Knot, before it merged with WeddingWire Inc.
"Angi has an important mission, helping homeowners when they need it and delivering business to hard-working professionals," Steib said. "We're going to use the revolutionary power of AI to make our products better for both, and we're going to move with urgency."
Levin said in a statement: "Mike is bringing enormous energy and spot-on experience to Angi. His palpable excitement for the brand and the product will be quickly apparent to Angi's customers."
Kip will serve as an advisor to the company for six months to assist with the transition. Levin credited Kip with integrating multiple product and technology platforms globally, expanding margins, and spurring growth during his tenure.
