Zentek outlines strategic reset focused on Albany Graphite project

Zentek Ltd. (NASDAQ: ZTEK) announced a strategic transformation aimed at creating sustainable value through focused capital allocation and derisking of its Albany Graphite Project. The company outlined plans to update its Preliminary Economic Assessment, expand pilot-scale processing, and advance environmental baseline studies with Constance Lake First Nation.

The company reported that independent laboratory testing confirmed Albany graphite can be purified to 5N (99.9992%) with a boron concentration of 2.60 ppm, meeting the sub-3 ppm threshold required for nuclear applications. The results were achieved using a halogen-free purification process.

"Our goal is to create sustained, long-term value by continuing to derisk assets and develop credible cashflow opportunities," said Mohammed Jiwan, Chief Executive Officer.

Zentek plans to progress Albany to support a potential spin-out, strategic partnership or other value-realization structure within 12 to 18 months. The company is also implementing cost reduction measures and pausing non-core initiatives.

Regarding its ZenGUARD Enhanced Air Filters, Zentek continues discussions with Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency. Health Canada currently classifies the filters as "pest control products" under the Pest Control Products Act rather than medical devices. The company submitted additional information on February 5, 2026, supporting its position that the filters' primary mode of action is mechanical air flow disruption.

Zentek is evaluating strategic options including label claim modifications and commercial feasibility in international markets. The company stated that if Health Canada maintains its current position, commercialization in Canada could require additional cost and time.
