Patterson-UTI operates 101 drilling rigs in US during June

Patterson-UTI Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEN) reported an average of 101 drilling rigs operating in the United States during June 2025, according to a company statement Monday.

For the three months ended June 30, 2025, the Houston-based company averaged 104 drilling rigs operating in the United States.

The figures represent drilling rigs that were earning revenue under drilling contracts in the United States during the respective periods.

Patterson-UTI noted that factors beyond average drilling rigs operating can impact operating results and that trends in the number of drilling rigs may not indicate trends in financial performance.

The company provides drilling and completion services to oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the United States and other countries. Its services include contract drilling, integrated well completion services, directional drilling services, and specialized drill bit solutions.

Patterson-UTI plans to continue providing monthly updates on drilling rigs operating shortly after each month ends.
