Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) CEO Paul Otellini may have given a little sneak peak into numbers for the quarter during a Consumer Electronics Show (CES) interview on Fox Business (FBN).
On the floor of the show, an FBN reporter spoke with Otellini, who initially highlighted product offerings like Ultrabooks and smartphones that Intel will be participating.
Toward the end of the interview, he said that Intel will "probably get about $54 billion of revenue" for 2011. The number might not seem like anything, but Intel didn't give revenue guidance before in any previous quarterly report. Additionally, since the annual revenue number is probably one of the top 5 things a CEO should know, using "probably" could mean "will be" in this case, though he was admittedly not prepping for a press conference or investor call.
Otellini's outlook compares favorably to average analyst estimates calling for $53.84 billion in revs for fiscal 2011.
He did guesstimate about $13.7 billion for the fourth-quarter, which is in-line with views.
Shares of Intel are up about 0.8 percent.
