Stocks Get A Boost From Consumer Confidence Reading

Stocks got a boost following May's Consumer Confidence number, which rose to 54.9, the highest level since September and the biggest gain since April 2003. The reading was up from 40.8 last month and well ahead of the consensus of 42.6.
