Investing.com -- Shares of Navitas Semiconductor (NASDAQ: NVTS) climbed 5% in after-hours trading following the announcement of a strategic collaboration with Nvidia to develop an advanced power delivery board for next-generation AI data centers.
The partnership centers on a cutting-edge 24-kilowatt (kW) power delivery board that directly converts 800 VDC to 12 VDC in a single stage. By bypassing the traditional 50 V intermediate bus converter (IBC) stage, the streamlined architecture significantly boosts system efficiency and reduces critical board space requirements.
Engineered to fit Nvidia’s 400 mm × 60 mm form factor, the board targets 97% efficiency at full load with a power density exceeding 2,000 W/in³. Its compact design allows it to be integrated directly onto the compute motherboard adjacent to the xPUs, which routes 12 V directly to the voltage regulator module to minimize power-delivery losses and simplify overall complexity.
Under the hood, the system utilizes 16 of Navitas’ NV6034 GaNFast FETs on the primary side. These are configured in a stacked half-bridge topology and feature the company’s dual-cooled DFN 8 × 8 packaging to optimize thermal management.
This latest 24 kW, 800 V-to-12 V platform expands Navitas’ growing portfolio of 800 VDC AI data-center solutions, building upon a previously announced 20 kW board also co-developed with Nvidia. The new hardware is slated to be showcased in the Nvidia AI Factory MGX Ecosystem partner display area at the OCP Global Summit 2026.
