Jefferies says retail fund inflows reach $25.3bn in latest week
Investing.com -- Retail fund inflows excluding money markets totaled $25.3 billion in the week ended September 2, reversing the previous week's outflows, according to Jefferies.
Exchange-traded funds attracted $33.4 billion in inflows, up from $17.4 billion the prior week. Mutual funds excluding money markets saw outflows of $8.1 billion, an improvement from the $17.4 billion in outflows recorded the week before. Money market funds drew $37.8 billion in inflows, compared with $2.6 billion the previous week.
U.S. equity mutual funds recorded outflows of $10.1 billion, compared with outflows of $13.7 billion in the prior week. U.S. equity ETFs posted inflows of $9.8 billion, reversing the previous week's outflows of $8.9 billion.
International equity mutual funds had outflows of $3.2 billion, up from $2.3 billion the week before. International equity ETFs recorded their 73rd straight week of inflows with $5.2 billion, compared with $4.4 billion in the previous week.
Taxable bond mutual funds reported inflows of $4.4 billion, reversing outflows of $1.0 billion from the prior week. Municipal bond mutual funds had inflows of $0.5 billion, up from $0.3 billion the previous week.
Taxable bond ETFs marked their 74th consecutive week of inflows, totaling $11.2 billion versus $8.7 billion the week before. Municipal bond ETFs posted inflows of $0.7 billion, down from $1.6 billion in the prior week.
