Evercore says Brazil beverage makers see improving outlook

Investing.com -- Evercore reported that beverage companies operating in Brazil are showing optimism about market conditions despite weather-related challenges in the second quarter of 2026.

Anheuser-Busch InBev said during its second quarter 2026 earnings that the Brazilian industry is "moving in a good direction" and expressed a positive outlook for the market. The company noted that unfavorable weather conditions offset increased demand from the World Cup during the quarter.

Ambev stated that weather forecasts for the second half of 2026 do not appear worse than 2025. The company's analysis indicates that adverse weather conditions account for the entire industry volume gap compared to 2024.

Coca-Cola Femsa pointed to potential support for the second half of 2026 from election-related spending. The company is monitoring regulatory developments that could create a more difficult environment in 2027, with potential tax reforms remaining an area of focus.

Evercore tracks Brazilian alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage production data, along with August precipitation and temperature forecasts, given Brazil's importance to multiple companies in its coverage.
