Kayne Anderson closes $50M senior note private placement

Kayne Anderson Energy Infrastructure Fund, Inc. (NYSE: KYN) completed a private placement of $50 million in senior unsecured notes, according to a statement from the company.
The notes are split into two series: $25 million in Series CCC notes at a fixed interest rate of 5.12%, maturing in July 2029, and $25 million in Series DDD notes at 5.25%, maturing in July 2031. The company said it intends to use the proceeds to refinance existing leverage and for general corporate purposes.
The company also previously agreed to issue $15 million of Series Y mandatory redeemable preferred shares carrying a fixed dividend rate of 5.70%, subject to mandatory redemption in December 2031. Those shares are expected to fund on October 30, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
The notes were not registered under the Securities Act of 1933 and may not be offered or sold in the United States without registration or an applicable exemption.
Kayne Anderson Energy Infrastructure Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company whose common stock trades on the NYSE. The company invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities of energy infrastructure companies.
