Financials Strengthen; XLF Moves Into Positive Territory

Financials are moving into the positive: after being down more than 5% today, the Financial Select Sector SPDR (AMEX: XLF), known commonly as the XLF, is now up more than a half a percent.

Also, Citigroup (NYSE: C) and Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER), which were both down nearly 8% on the day earlier, have now seen positive territory, but sharse have since pulled back of these recent highs. Citigroup is now down $0.03, or 0.20%, to $15.20, and Merrill is back into the black, up $0.13, or 0.50%, to $26.03.
