Ametek (NYSE: AME) reported Q3 EPS of $0.82, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.78. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.19 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.18 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Ametek sees Q4 2018 EPS of $0.82-$0.84, versus the consensus of $0.82.

• Overall sales in the fourth quarter of 2018 are expected to be up approximately 10% versus the prior-year period, with organic sales up mid-single digits.
