American Apparel (APP) Reports Q1 Loss of 5c/sh

American Apparel (NYSE: APP) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.05), $0.15 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.20). Revenue for the quarter came in at $137.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $136.95 million. Q1 comps declined 7%.

Adjusted EBITDA improved by $2.1 million to $1.4 million for the first quarter of 2014 versus loss of $0.7 million for the first quarter of 2013.

Company Outlook

The Company reaffirms its prior estimate of Adjusted EBITDA for 2014 of $40 million to $50 million.
