Stocks Pare Earlier Declines

E-mailStocks pared losses heading into the market close Tuesday. The S&P 500 was down 0.6% at 2090, up from a low of 2080. The Dow was lower by 0.5%, and the Nasdaq was lower by 0.7%, both off session lows, with ten minutes left in the session.
