S&P 500, Nasdaq Weakness Continues
The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq continued to weaken heading into mid-day Wednesday, as stocks pulled back from record highs and earnings season shifted into high gear.
VIX, also known as the fear index, climbed from depressed levels to a high of 12.8 as markets traded lower, with the S&P 500 down 0.7% and the Nasdaq off by nearly 1%.
