Faber: U.S. is Already Entering Economic Recession (TLT) (IEF)
Gloom, Boom & Doom Report publisher Marc Faber believes the U.S. is already entering a recession and recommends that investors put their money to work in U.S. Treasuries.
According to an interview with Bloomberg on Monday, Faber commented, Ten-year U.S. Treasuries are quite attractive because of my outlook for a weakening economy ... I believe that we’re already entering a recession in the United States and U.S. stocks will fall in 2016.
Treasuries are said to have returned 1.1 percent in 2015, down from 6.2 percent last year. Faber is also skeptical of consensus estimates calling for 10-year yields to reach 2.8 percent next year.
