Erste Group Downgrades Waste Management (WM) to Hold

Erste Group analyst Hans Engel downgraded Waste Management (NYSE: WM) from Buy to Hold.

The analyst comments "Waste Management is growing both organically and through acquisitions. However, the Group recently lowered its forecast for revenue growth in 2025. This is also based on the expectation that the volume growth of waste will only amount to +0.25% to +0.75% this year. Overall, operating income should therefore also increase more slowly in 2025 than in the previous year. The company's weaker growth prospects are reflected in a lower P/E ratio of the stock compared to the sector."
