Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) Chairman Michael Saylor denied selling Bitcoin in a CNBC interview on Friday, and said his company is accelerating its purchases of the cryptocurrency.

Crypto intelligence firm Arkham on Friday showed Michael Saylor's Strategy's Bitcoin holdings dropped by roughly 47 thousand coins following a series of transactions.

Speaking on CNBC, Saylor directly refuted any selling, stating, "We are buying, we’ll report our next buys on Monday morning." He added that the company is "accelerating our purchases" of Bitcoin.

The MicroStrategy chairman expressed confidence in the current market conditions, saying, "We’ve put in a very strong base around here" in Bitcoin and "I’m fairly comfortable at this level." Saylor added that he expects Bitcoin to "rally from here."

  • Arkham data showed Strategy's holdings down to 437K Bitcoin from 484K.
  • According to Arkham data, this is the first time Strategy's Bitcoin holdings decreased since July of 2023.
  • MSTR has been steadily accumulating Bitcoins over recent months.
  • Saylor himself took to X at 7:22 AM on Friday, posting "HODL," alongside a picture of what appears to be him escaping a sinking ship.
