Ford (F) Shares Higher on Possible Moody's Upgrade

Shares of Ford (NYSE: F) are trading up nearly 5 percent Wednesday afternoon amid news Moody's Investor Services may be looking to upgrade the automaker's credit ratings.

Ford coined a tentative agreement with Ford on Tuesday, setting up the automaker to possibly maintain the operating flexibility it had in previous years.

Moody's said the ratings under review include: the Corporate Family Rating and Probability of Default Rating at Ba2, secured bank debt at Baa3, and senior unsecured debt at Ba3.

The rating agency is also reviewing the ratings of Ford Motor Credit Company and its supported entities for possible upgrade.
