WiMi Hologram Cloud Inc. (NASDAQ: WIMI) announced it is researching quantum crypt generator technology that creates encryption keys through quantum machine learning. The Beijing-based hologram augmented reality technology provider stated it is developing QryptGen, which generates encryption keys using quantum generative adversarial networks.

The company said it combines quantum algorithms with traditional stochastic gradient descent algorithms to train the quantum generator and discriminator. This approach aims to produce encryption keys with enhanced security and randomness compared to traditional methods.

According to the company's statement, the encryption keys generated by QryptGen are designed to protect user data during transmission and storage. WiMi noted that traditional encryption algorithms like RSA and AES face security challenges as computing power increases, while quantum-based keys possess greater complexity and randomness.

The company acknowledged that quantum machine learning encryption technology faces challenges including stability and scalability issues with quantum computing hardware, as well as the need for quantum algorithm optimization and improvement.

WiMi operates in holographic cloud services, focusing on areas including in-vehicle AR holographic systems, 3D holographic pulse LiDAR, holographic semiconductors, and metaverse holographic AR/VR devices. The company stated it will continue researching quantum machine learning encryption technology.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
