Timken (TKR) Boosting SBQ, Seamless Tubing Prices

The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR) reports that it is raising prices on special bar quality (SBQ) and seamless mechanical tubing products, while also raising its minimum quantities for quench and tempered orders. The new pricing applies to non-contract purchases, while raw-material surcharges remain in effect.

A list:
  • Bars greater than 6 inches through 9 inches increase by $40 per ton;

  • Bars greater than 9 inches through 12 inches increase by $80 per ton; and

  • Bars greater than 12 inches through 16 inches increase by $120 per ton.
Changes will be effective with November 1st shipments.
