TON Strategy highlights TON blockchain infrastructure upgrades

TON Strategy Company (Nasdaq: TONX), a digital asset treasury company focused on the TON ecosystem, outlined a series of infrastructure updates to The Open Network blockchain, according to a press release issued July 22, 2026.

A redesigned architecture for indexed blockchain data now separates frequently requested recent data from the network's full transaction history. The company said this change has resulted in recent blockchain data queries being processed 2-4x faster.

TON also added new APIs supporting staking pools and validator operations, along with additional support for decentralized applications. Underlying server infrastructure powering TON ecosystem services was also upgraded.

Earlier upgrades completed this year improved validator communication and transaction organization, including a new networking layer the company said reduced network traffic by 2-4x while improving synchronization and node connectivity.

Looking ahead, TON's development roadmap includes a new collator and validator architecture that separates block construction from validation, and a next-generation database built for growing blockchain workloads. The company said these planned upgrades are expected to increase transaction processing capacity while maintaining sub-second performance and low transaction costs.

"As TON continues to mature, the focus naturally shifts from simply increasing speed to optimizing every component of the network," said Kevin Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of TON Strategy.

TON Strategy holds Gram, formerly known as Toncoin, as its primary treasury asset. The company's strategy is based on TON's integration with Telegram, which the company states has more than one billion monthly active users.
