Rackspace Technology gains VMware sovereign cloud certification

Rackspace Technology (NASDAQ: RXT) announced its UK Sovereign Services achieved VMware Sovereign Cloud certification on January 14. The certification validates the company's ability to store and process sensitive data for UK organizations while maintaining jurisdictional control.

The certification is awarded to VMware Cloud Service Providers that meet criteria for providing cloud services with data sovereignty and jurisdictional control within specific countries or regions. It confirms that data remains under local control and adheres to national regulations for data privacy and security.

Rackspace Sovereign Services operates a managed private cloud platform from UK-based data centers using VMware technologies. The service targets organizations requiring strict control over data location and processing methods.
