Lightspeed Commerce Inc. (NYSE: LSPD) has launched an integration with ShipStation, connecting ShipStation's shipping and logistics platform directly into Lightspeed's point-of-sale and ecommerce systems.
The integration, now available to eligible Lightspeed Retail merchants, allows orders to flow between the two platforms, enabling retailers to manage fulfillment across in-store and online channels from a single system. Features include automated shipping decisions, carrier selection based on speed or cost, and the ability to fulfill online orders using in-store inventory.
"By partnering with ShipStation, we're bringing best-in-class fulfillment technology directly into our platform so merchants can simplify shipping, automate decisions, and deliver the kind of seamless post-purchase experience that turns one-time buyers into loyal ones," said Dax Dasilva, founder and chief executive officer at Lightspeed.
Matt Norman, VP of partnerships management at ShipStation Global, said the integration gives merchants "the ability to ship from store and fulfill online orders from in-store inventory, so every location becomes a fulfillment asset."
ShipStation, founded in 2011 and part of ShipStation Global, supports over 400 integrations with carriers and marketplaces including USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and Shopify. Lightspeed, founded in Montreal in 2005, operates in over 100 countries serving retail, golf, and hospitality businesses.
