IonQ signs $8.18M quantum-security deal with Congruity360

IonQ (NYSE: IONQ) and Congruity360 have announced an $8.18 million agreement under which Congruity360 will integrate IonQ's quantum-safe networking hardware into its enterprise data management platform.

According to the companies, the deal is among the largest commercial quantum security agreements announced in the United States. Under the terms, IonQ will supply its Clavis quantum key distribution (QKD) pairs and Solteris Network Appliances to Congruity360, forming a network designed to protect data in transit between locations.

Congruity360 serves clients in finance, healthcare, insurance, legal services, manufacturing, defense, and higher education. The company said it will use IonQ's post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and QKD appliances to protect sensitive enterprise data for those clients across the U.S.

Jordan Shapiro, President of Quantum Platform at IonQ, referenced a June 2026 White House executive order that moves federal post-quantum deadlines to 2030 and extends requirements to contractors as context for the agreement. "Congruity360 is integrating IonQ's quantum key distribution on top of post-quantum cryptography to protect data that must stay confidential long after those deadlines pass," Shapiro said.

Brian Davidson, CEO of Congruity360, said the collaboration "brings security to the forefront of every data management decision" as cybersecurity demands evolve.

The agreement follows other quantum-safe network deployments by IonQ, including a planned statewide initiative with Florida LambdaRail and quantum-resistant network upgrades in Switzerland completed in collaboration with Cisco.
