Freshworks Inc. (NASDAQ: FRSH) has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) "In-Process" status for its Freshservice platform, according to a joint statement from Freshworks and Carahsoft Technology Corp.

The designation covers Class C (Moderate) certification, a step in the broader FedRAMP authorization process that allows cloud service providers to pursue full authorization for use by U.S. government agencies.

Freshservice is an IT service management platform that includes incident and change management, automation, knowledge management, and reporting tools. The platform also supports service management functions beyond IT, including HR, finance, and operations.

"Achieving FedRAMP 'In-Process' Authorization is a significant milestone for Freshworks," said Matt Sorenson, Head of Channels & Alliances for North America at Freshworks. "It demonstrates our commitment to meeting the rigorous security and compliance requirements of the Public Sector while bringing the power of AI-powered service management to Government organizations."

Freshservice will be available to public sector customers through Carahsoft, which distributes technology products to federal, state, and local government agencies. The platform is accessible via several contract vehicles, including Carahsoft's TIPS Contract #220105, OMNIA Partners Contract #R240303, E&I Contract #EI00063~2021MA, and The Quilt Master Service Agreement Number MSA05012019-F.

"Through our partnership with Freshworks, Carahsoft and its reseller partners are proud to help bring this capability to the Public Sector," said Nicholas Lang, Team Lead overseeing the Freshworks team at Carahsoft.
