DocGo Inc. (NASDAQ: DCGO) announced it has secured a contract to provide community vaccination services for San Diego County, California. The mobile health services provider will offer vaccinations in underserved East and North-Central neighborhoods through partnerships with county officials, community organizations and other agencies.
The program will deliver vaccinations at schools, houses of worship, public parks, neighborhood centers and in homes. DocGo will deploy health workers to facilitate community partnerships and promote program awareness with the goal of improving vaccination access for populations disproportionately affected by infectious disease.
The contract represents DocGo's first partnership with San Diego County, though the company already provides mobile health services for insurance payers in the region. The program aims to serve individuals who are disabled, frail or lack transportation access.
"DocGo's expansion of mobile health services in San Diego illustrates our deep commitment to bringing high quality, highly accessible care to all," said Lee Bienstock, CEO of DocGo. "We look forward to providing both health education and the vaccines that can help children and adults thrive, helping improve neighborhood health."
DocGo operates a technology-enabled platform that includes mobile health services, remote patient monitoring and ambulance services. The company provides healthcare services outside traditional medical facilities, working with hospitals, health networks and insurance providers.
