Ares Management Corporation (NYSE: ARES) has closed its inaugural Ares Global Structured Solutions Fund, raising approximately $4.2 billion, well above its initial $1 billion target, according to a company statement.
The fund, along with affiliated vehicles, is managed by the Ares Private Equity Secondaries team and is designed to provide flexible capital to general partners pursuing strategic objectives. These include increasing GP fund commitments, seeding new strategies through structured LP commitments, and supporting succession planning.
Ares reported that its funds have deployed nearly $9 billion across structured solutions transactions since 2013. The Ares Secondaries Group, of which the Private Equity Secondaries strategy is a part, managed $44 billion of assets as of June 30, 2026.
"The successful close of AGSS highlights the increasing demand for tailored GP solutions in today's market environment," said Blair Jacobson, Co-President of Ares.
Nate Walton, Head of Private Equity Secondaries at Ares, noted that the dedicated capital pool is intended to broaden the firm's capacity to serve a wider range of managers. Ares' secondaries offerings include structured solutions, continuation vehicles, and GP stakes.
Ares Management reported over $671 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026, with operations across North America, South America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.
