Aeries Technology completes AI invoice automation pilot

Aeries Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: AERT) completed a three-month proof of concept with a healthcare organization to automate accounts payable operations using artificial intelligence.

The pilot program utilized Azure AI Document Intelligence to extract, classify, and validate invoice fields from unstructured PDF documents. The healthcare enterprise previously processed invoices through manual workflows that resulted in high error rates and processing delays.

The company reported document field extraction accuracy exceeded 70 percent and invoice processing time decreased by approximately 60 percent. Operations now operate without errors through AI-powered exception handling, according to the press release.

"This engagement exemplifies our go-to-market approach: consulting-led delivery combining functional expertise with AI-enabled solutions that de-risk implementation and accelerate time-to-value for our clients," said Sachin Aghor, Chief Delivery Officer at Aeries Technology.

The global accounts payable automation market is projected to reach $7.1 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 12.5 percent, with North America representing 33.2 percent of global revenue, according to industry analysts cited in the announcement.
