Amazon Web Services announced new artificial intelligence model customization capabilities at its re:Invent conference in Las Vegas. The company introduced Reinforcement Fine Tuning in Amazon Bedrock and serverless model customization in Amazon SageMaker AI with reinforcement learning.
According to the announcement, Reinforcement Fine Tuning in Amazon Bedrock aims to make it easier for developers to tailor models to specific use cases and improve accuracy. The feature allows customers to customize foundation models without requiring extensive machine learning expertise.
The new Amazon SageMaker AI capabilities include serverless model customization workflows that the company states can reduce development time from months to days. The service incorporates reinforcement learning techniques to help developers build AI agents more efficiently.
AWS (NASDAQ: AMZN) positioned these updates as part of its effort to make advanced model customization accessible to developers regardless of their technical background. The features are designed to reduce costs while improving performance for customers building AI applications.
The announcements were made as part of AWS re:Invent, the company's annual cloud computing conference. Both Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker AI are existing AWS services that provide machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities to enterprise customers.
