Ameriflight Appoints David Harvey as President and Chief Executive Officer

Veteran aviation executive brings more than 25 years of industry leadership and experience driving growth and transformation

Harvey brings more than 25 years of aviation leadership experience spanning airlines, charter aviation, cargo, and global travel. Throughout his career, he has led complex organizations through periods of growth and transformation, with extensive experience across operations, commercial strategy, network planning, technology, and customer experience.

Most recently, Harvey worked in an executive advisory capacity to airlines, travel technology companies, and enterprise clients on commercial strategy, sales effectiveness, distribution, and AI-enabled transformation. He also previously served as Chief Commercial Officer of Wheels Up, where his responsibilities included global marketing, sales, pricing, and revenue management.

Additionally, Harvey spent more than two decades at Southwest Airlines, culminating in his role as Chief Sales Officer. In that position, he led the airline’s sales organization across corporate, small and medium-sized business, government, and university segments, with responsibility for key distribution partnerships and strategy. Earlier in his Southwest career, he held leadership roles across corporate strategy, network planning, commercial performance, and technology, and helped lead the integration of AirTran Airways.
