Wingstop adds Penn Entertainment CEO Jay Snowden to its board

Wingstop Inc. (NASDAQ: WING) has expanded its board of directors from ten to eleven members, electing Jay Snowden as a Class II director, effective Aug. 6, 2026.

Snowden, 50, has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of PENN Entertainment, Inc. since January 2020. He previously held the role of President and Chief Operating Officer at PENN from March 2017 and has been with the company since October 2011. PENN operates casinos, racetracks, online sports betting, and iCasino offerings. Snowden also sits on PENN's board of directors, a position he has held since August 2019. Prior to PENN, he held leadership roles at Caesars Entertainment Corporation in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.

Wingstop's board determined that Snowden qualifies as an independent director under Nasdaq rules. He has been appointed to the board's Audit and Compensation Committees.

Snowden will receive annual cash compensation of $100,000 for his board service. He was also granted restricted stock valued at approximately $112,500, representing a pro-rated portion of the company's annual director grant, which will vest on May 21, 2027.
