WaFd Bank names Erin Hill to board of directors

WaFd, Inc. (NASDAQ: WAFD) announced the appointment of Erin Hill to its board of directors. Hill brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in financial services, corporate governance, audit, and risk management.
Hill currently serves as executive director of the Financial Accounting Foundation, the parent organization of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, which establish financial accounting and reporting standards for public and private companies, not-for-profit organizations, and state and local governments in the United States.
Previously, Hill served as chief administrative officer at BNY Mellon and head of consumer banking and wealth management at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she led more than 50,000 bankers and financial advisors at over 5,500 branches. She also held roles as chief financial officer of JPMorgan's private equity business and chief operating officer of its legal and compliance functions.
Before joining JPMorgan, Hill worked as an attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance for Fortune 100 companies. She began her career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen.

Hill holds a juris doctor from Columbia University School of Law, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Fordham University. She is a certified public accountant and member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
WaFd Bank, established in 1917 and headquartered in Seattle, operates more than 200 branches across nine western states.
