Vogenx adds consulting veteran Ken Toombs to its board

Vogenx, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOGX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Raleigh, North Carolina, has appointed Ken Toombs to its Board of Directors, effective September 21, 2026. Toombs will serve as an independent director and Chair of the Audit Committee, according to a company statement.

Toombs brings roughly 30 years of experience in the professional services industry. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of PA Consulting, a London-based consultancy, a role he assumed in October 2020 after joining the firm in 2018 to lead its Americas business. He previously served as Global Head of Infosys Consulting, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Capgemini Consulting and Chief Executive Officer of its North American business, and held senior roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM.

Toombs holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

"Ken has spent three decades helping organizations grow without losing the discipline that got them there, and he has done it having a deep familiarity with healthcare and life sciences," said James Green, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Vogenx.

Vogenx is developing mizagliflozin, an investigational oral inhibitor of sodium-dependent glucose transporter 1, for post-bariatric hypoglycemia, gastroparesis, and GIP-dependent Cushing's Syndrome. The compound has been administered to more than 500 subjects across 10 clinical studies. There are currently no FDA-approved therapeutics for post-bariatric hypoglycemia.
