TRWD adds programmer Jeremy Woertink to its advisory board
Tradewinds Universal (OTC: TRWD), a publicly traded holding company focused on adult hospitality businesses, announced that Jeremy Woertink has joined its Advisory Board to support the company's Financial Services Division and Management Group.
Woertink will assist in developing a payment gateway application intended to facilitate digital transactions involving entertainers and venues through third-party payment providers. He will also advise the company on evaluating potential acquisitions of technology companies, software, intellectual property, and digital assets.
Woertink currently serves as a senior programmer at Joystick.tv, an adult-focused creator livestreaming platform that supports subscriptions, token-based purchases, and multiple payout methods. He previously served as CTO and software developer at Namechk.com, where he rebuilt the platform to handle nearly one million username search requests per day. He also has experience in web application development, mobile applications, software architecture, Ruby, and JavaScript, and has taught software development and programming. Woertink is a former United States Marine.
"Jeremy brings the combination of technical depth, payment experience, and execution we need," said Andrew Read, CEO of Tradewinds Universal. "His experience will help us advance our payment gateway while identifying technologies that can strengthen multiple divisions of TRWD."
According to the company's press release, Tradewinds Universal is working toward consolidating adult hospitality venues under an SEC-reporting, PCAOB-audited public structure, with a stated long-term goal of operating more than 100 venues nationally. The company noted that its proposed transaction with Peppermint Hippo remains subject to a letter of intent and has not been finalized through definitive agreements.
