Skydance names new board after Paramount-Warner Bros. merger

Skydance Corporation (NYSE: SKYD) announced the composition of its board of directors following the merger of Paramount with Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ: WBD), effective immediately.

David Ellison will continue to serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Skydance. Three new directors join the board: Ynon Kreiz, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Skydance; Laurene Powell Jobs, founder and president of Emerson Collective; and Bobby Kotick, founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Activision. Powell Jobs and Kotick will serve as Independent Directors. Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair will join as a Board Advisor in a personal capacity.

The full board includes 13 members. Returning directors include Barbara Byrne, former Vice Chairman of Barclays; Andy Campion, Chairman and CEO of Unrivaled Sports; Gerry Cardinale of RedBird Capital Partners; Safra A. Catz, former CEO of Oracle; Andy Gordon, President of Skydance; Justin G. Hamill of Silver Lake; Sherry Lansing, former Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures; Paul Marinelli of Lawrence Investments; and John L. Thornton of RedBird Capital Partners.

Kotick led Activision for 32 years, during which the company was sold to Microsoft for $68.7 billion. Blair serves as Executive Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.

Skydance's portfolio includes Paramount, Warner Bros., HBO, Paramount+, CBS, CNN, Nickelodeon, MTV, and other media brands across its Studios, Direct-to-Consumer, and TV Media segments.
