Serve Robotics Inc. (Nasdaq: SERV) has appointed Andreas Lieber to its board of directors, effective June 22, 2026, replacing Sarfraz Maredia, who is stepping down after three years on the board.

Lieber has held roles at Uber, Postmates, Pinterest, Groupon, Yahoo, and T-Mobile. At Postmates, he served as general manager and interim CEO, overseeing the company's integration with Uber, the period during which Serve was spun out as an independent company. He later served as chief operating officer of Shippo, a logistics and shipping platform. He currently serves as general manager, industry and technology, at California Forever, a large-scale planned development project.

Maredia, who holds the title of global head of autonomous mobility and delivery at Uber, joined Serve's board when the company was focused on sidewalk delivery robots. During his tenure, Serve became a publicly traded company.

"Serve started on sidewalks delivering food, and we're now operating robots in hospitals and kitchens as well as beginning to build the infrastructure for other robotics companies to run on," said Ali Kashani, co-founder and CEO of Serve Robotics.

Serve Robotics was spun off from Uber in 2021 and has since deployed more than 2,000 robots across the U.S., serving a population of approximately three million and supporting more than 4,000 restaurants. In 2026, the company acquired Diligent Robotics, expanding its operations into indoor service robots used in hospitals.
