Rishi Bajaj joins Digimarc board of directors

Digimarc Corporation (NASDAQ: DMRC) announced the appointment of Rishi Bajaj to its board of directors. Bajaj serves as founder and chief investment officer of private investment firm Altai Capital Management and chief executive officer of ContextLogic Inc..
The digital watermarking technology company also entered into a cooperation agreement with Bajaj and Altai Capital Management. Under the agreement, which runs through the first day after Digimarc's 2026 annual meeting of shareholders, Bajaj and Altai agreed to vote in accordance with the Digimarc board's recommendations on all proposals submitted to shareholders, with limited exceptions.
Bajaj has led the day-to-day management and operations of Altai Capital Management for over fifteen years. He has served on ContextLogic's board since 2023, previously holding roles as chairman and compensation committee member, and currently serves on the transformation committee.
His previous board experience includes MobileIron Inc., a cybersecurity company where he served on the strategy committee, and ServiceSource International Inc., a software and services company where he served on the compensation committee.
"Rishi has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of our business, enabling him to deliver both financial and strategic value to the company," said Riley McCormack, Digimarc's chief executive officer, according to the company's statement.
Bajaj stated that Altai Capital has conducted extensive research on Digimarc over several years, including analysis of its technology and market opportunity.
