Provident Financial names former FDIC examiner to its boards

Provident Financial Services, Inc. (NYSE: PFS) announced the appointment of Michael E. Regan to the boards of directors of the company and its subsidiary, Provident Bank, effective July 30, 2026.
Regan spent more than 35 years at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where he served as a Senior Bank Examiner. In that role, he led safety and soundness examinations for financial institutions with assets ranging from $100 million to more than $100 billion. His work included advising boards and executive teams on corporate governance, enterprise risk management, capital adequacy, liquidity oversight, and regulatory compliance.
Christopher Martin, Executive Chairman of Provident Financial Services, commented on the appointment: "Mike brings exceptional regulatory expertise and a distinguished career dedicated to helping financial institutions strengthen governance, manage risk, and operate safely and soundly."
Regan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Rider University.
