Primis Financial adds Margaret Weichert to its board

Primis Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: FRST) announced the election of Margaret M. Weichert to its Board of Directors, the McLean, Virginia-based bank holding company said in a press release.

Weichert has held roles at Accenture, Bank of America, First Data, and The Clearinghouse. She also served in the federal government as the Senate-confirmed Deputy for Management at the Office of Management and Budget and as head of the Office of Personnel Management.

She holds 16 U.S. patents related to payment industry inventions and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University. She also sits on the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives and several financial technology startups.

Dennis J. Zember Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of Primis, said, "Her unique combination of technology and financial expertise along with a successful track record as an entrepreneur will be invaluable to us as we continue to build a highly profitable tech-forward organization."

As of March 31, 2026, Primis reported $4.3 billion in total assets, $3.4 billion in total loans held for investment, and $3.4 billion in total deposits. The company operates 24 full-service branches in Virginia and Maryland through its subsidiary, Primis Bank.
