Phunware elects Ed Lu to board of directors

Phunware Inc. (NASDAQ: PHUN) announced the election of Ed Lu to its board of directors at the company's annual meeting of stockholders held on December 17, 2024. The Austin-based enterprise cloud platform company also announced the re-election of interim Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Krol to the board.
Lu brings over 14 years of experience in chief financial officer and similar roles at companies backed by venture capital and private equity. He currently serves as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Fandom Inc., a position he has held since October 2018, with oversight of financial, planning, accounting and corporate development functions.
Lu's background includes finance, accounting, risk management, corporate development and capital markets. He has served as a director of Outpost Games and as a board advisor and strategic advisor to several early to mid-stage companies.
Lu holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a master's degree in management science and engineering with a concentration in entrepreneurial finance and strategy from Stanford University.
"Ed brings a strong background in finance and operations, and expertise in guiding technology companies through periods of strategic and financial transformation, to our board of directors," said Elliot Han, Phunware board chairperson, according to the company's statement.
Phunware provides mobile app solutions with integrated capabilities for businesses to create, implement and manage custom mobile applications, analytics, digital advertising and location-based services.
