Oracle adds former Quest Diagnostics CEO to board

Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) announced it elected Stephen Rusckowski to its board of directors, effective November 18. The board unanimously approved the appointment and expanded its size to 14 members.
Rusckowski served as chief executive officer and president of Quest Diagnostics Inc. from 2012 to 2022. He also chaired Quest's board from January 2017 through March 2023. Prior to Quest, he was chief executive officer of Philips Healthcare and served on the board of management at Royal Philips Electronics.
Rusckowski currently serves on the supervisory board of Qiagen N.V. and as a director of Baxter International Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
"Steve's years of experience in healthcare and technology will enable him to provide the Oracle Board with a unique perspective as to how Oracle Health can better serve patients and healthcare providers around the world," said Larry Ellison, Oracle's board chairman and chief technology officer.
Bruce Chizen, chair of the nomination and governance committee, stated that Oracle and its customers and shareholders will benefit from Rusckowski's experience in leading global healthcare organizations.
Oracle board members serve one-year terms and will stand for election at the company's annual stockholder meeting in November 2026.
