Okta adds Helen Riley to its board of directors

Okta, Inc. (Nasdaq: OKTA) has appointed Helen Riley to its board of directors, the company announced, while also disclosing that board member Emilie Choi stepped down on September 14, 2026.

Riley currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at X (The Moonshot Factory), a research and development subsidiary of Alphabet, Inc. She joined X in 2015 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer before expanding her role in 2023.

Riley previously held senior finance positions at Google, including Senior Finance Director of Global Marketing from 2013 to 2015 and Finance Director of Global G&A from 2011 to 2013. She has also served on the boards of Eventbrite, Inc. from July 2018 to April 2026, and Marqeta, Inc. from May 2020 to June 2025.

Riley holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Okta CEO and Co-Founder Todd McKinnon said Riley "brings two decades of deep financial and operational experience from her time at companies solving some of the world's most challenging problems with AI."
