NioCorp board member Michael Morris dies

NioCorp Developments Ltd. (NASDAQ: NB) announced that board member Michael Morris passed away on July 20, 2025. Morris had served as an independent director since July 2014 and held the position of Lead Director on the company's board.
Morris participated in multiple board committees including Audit, Nomination and Corporate Governance, and Compensation and Organization. The company stated the information in a press release issued July 22, 2025.
"Michael brought outstanding strategic planning and thoughtful decision-making to our Board," said Mark A. Smith, NioCorp's Executive Chairman and CEO. "His leadership and his friendship will be missed greatly."
Following Morris' death, NioCorp appointed existing board member Dean Kehler to serve on the company's Audit Committee, effective immediately.
NioCorp is developing the Elk Creek Project, which the company expects will produce niobium, scandium, and titanium. The company is also evaluating potential rare earth production from the same project.
