NewcelX appoints diabetes expert to scientific advisory board

NewcelX Ltd. (NASDAQ: NCEL) announced the appointment of Dr. Julien Boisdron to its Scientific Advisory Board. The biotechnology company develops cell-based and small-molecule therapies for neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases.
Dr. Boisdron currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for a Swiss-based multinational pharmaceutical company, where he oversees strategic development of diabetes technologies and clinical programs. He brings more than two decades of experience in global diabetes care leadership.
In his advisory role, Dr. Boisdron will provide strategic guidance for IsletRx, NewcelX's stem-cell-derived islet cell therapy program for insulin-dependent Type 1 Diabetes. He will advise on translational strategy as the company advances the program toward clinical trials.

Executive Chairman and CEO Ronen Twito noted that Type 1 Diabetes represents a core focus and key priority in NewcelX's clinical development strategy. The company is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, with research and development operations in Ness Ziona, Israel.
