Nasdaq Texas announced the formation of its inaugural Advisory Board on June 25, 2026, following the launch of its dual-listing venue. The board comprises five members drawn from banking, energy, law, real estate, and corporate operations sectors across Texas.
Ed Knight, Executive Vice Chairman of Nasdaq (NASDAQ: NDAQ), will chair the board. Knight previously served as Nasdaq's General Counsel from 2001 to 2019 and as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
The five advisory board members are:
Danny David, Managing Partner of Baker Botts, a law firm with more than 750 attorneys; Danny Wesson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Diamondback Energy; Jay Brown, Chief Executive Officer of David Weekley Homes and former President and CEO of Crown Castle Inc.; Jill Lampert, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of NGP Energy Capital Management, a private equity firm with over $25 billion in cumulative equity commitments; and Pat Frost, former President of Frost Bank, where he contributed to growing the bank's assets to $54 billion.
The board will work alongside Nasdaq Texas President Rachel Racz and is described in the announcement as a forum for dialogue on capital formation, governance standards, and policy as they relate to the Texas economy.
The press release also references the recent dual listing of SpaceX on Nasdaq Texas, which it describes as the largest IPO in history, though this claim was not independently verified in the release.
