MicroVision appoints Scott Goldstein to defense advisory board

MicroVision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS) announced the appointment of Scott Goldstein to its Defense Advisory Board. The board was established to support the company's expansion into defense technology and military markets.



Goldstein serves as Senior Vice President and Fellow at Parsons Corporation, where he leads technology and strategy activities in the Defense and Intelligence sector. He completed a 40-year military career in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Major General with leadership roles in space, cyber and research and development activities.



His industry experience spans venture capital-funded startups to Fortune 500 companies, where he held positions including chief technology officer, chief strategy officer and chief scientist. Goldstein holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California and has published over 200 publications. He holds five U.S. patents in areas including spread spectrum communications and advanced sensor data compression.



"Having significantly contributed to defense and intelligence innovation throughout his career, including most recently at Parsons and Anduril, Scott's extensive operational and engineering experience in space, cyberspace, ISR systems and sensors, and many other R&D initiatives, brings incredible value to MicroVision," said Sumit Sharma, MicroVision's Chief Executive Officer.



MicroVision develops lidar hardware and perception software solutions for applications including robotics, automated warehouses and agriculture. The company's technology was initially developed for the automotive industry and continues to support advanced driver-assistance systems and autonomous driving development.
