Marzetti Company appoints Greg Hughes to board of directors

The Marzetti Company (NASDAQ: MZTI) announced that Greg Hughes has been appointed to its board of directors, according to a company statement.

Hughes serves as president and chief executive officer of Suntory Global Spirits, a position he has held since 2023. He joined Suntory in 2015 and previously held roles including chief growth and brands officer, president of North America, and general manager of North America. Before Suntory, Hughes worked in leadership positions at Kraft and Bel Brands.

"His experience leading food and beverage companies will be a tremendous asset to the organization," said Alan Harris, chairman. "He has a deep understanding of marketing, brand development and operational excellence, which will benefit the Board and Management as The Marzetti Company continues to execute its growth strategy."

Hughes earned a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Kansas and an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

The Marzetti Company manufactures specialty food products including Marzetti dressings and dips, New York Bakery garlic breads, and Sister Schubert's dinner rolls. The company also holds exclusive license agreements for restaurant chain sauces and dressings from Olive Garden, Chick-fil-A, Buffalo Wild Wings, Arby's, Subway, and Texas Roadhouse.
